Setting up Remediation Workflow

When a positive environmental test result occurs in your site, you may want to start to manage the remediation or corrective action taken for this test point and particular test method that triggered the positive result. Corvium CONTROL will allow you to create a remediation workflow to help you manage the process. You will be able configure CONTROL to automatically reschedule test points for testing according to your environmental plan. You will also be able to customize the steps taken for each remediation before it can be considered complete.

To set up a new remediation protocol:

  1. Log into Corvium CONTROL and click your name under "Settings," in the far right corner
  2. Click the 'Remediations' button on the left side of the page
  3. Click the green 'Create New' button
  4. Add a descriptive name to your remediation in the pop-up box.  NoteYou can have multiple remediation protocols for a Test Method so be descriptive as possible
  5. Choose Use for re-test if this will be a different remediation protocol to follow if you have a positive result from an initial remediation protocol.
  6. Choose Manually triggered if you want to choose which positive results this remediation protocol applies to instead of all of the test results.
  7. Click the blue Submit button.  Your new protocol will appear in the Remediation Protocols list
  8. Click the On/Off box to toggle if the remediation protocol is active
  9. Order your remediation protocols by hitting the blue Up/Down arrows next to the protocol number.  The top protocol will take precedent over those below it if they share similar characteristics.
  10. Edit your remediation protocol by clicking the pencil icon by the red trash can

Customize the Remediation Protocol:

Configurations - Choose how you will use this Remediation Protocol

  1. Click on the green Edit button
  2. Adjust the desired configurations (descriptions below)
  3. Click on the blue Save button
  • Remediation Schedule Repeat: Choose how many times you want the remediation schedule to repeat before the remediation is closed. (ie. 3 negative results before the corrective action is complete)
  • Group Remediations: check this box if you want to group remediation "test reschedules" on a particular day of the week into one automatically generated schedule.  This can be useful if many remediation retests are common in the plant
  • Group Remediations Day:  Day of the week the remediations retests will be grouped if the 'group remediations' box is checked
  • Remediation Schedule Repeat Gap: Number of days after a remediation schedule is completed before the next schedule is automatically created.  1 is the next day. (Only useful if Remediation Schedule Repeat is greater than 1)
  • For re-test:  This setting allows for a secondary remediation protocol if the primary protocol gave a positive result in its follow-up testing.  Note:  This setting must be chosen when creating the Remediation Protocol and cannot be changed here.
  • Manually triggered:  This allows the user to choose which positive results to apply the Remediation Protocol to.  If this is unchecked the Remediation Protocol will be applied to all positive results.
  • Ignore test results confirmation:  This setting allows a user to continue following the Remediation Protocol of a Presumptive Positive result even if the confirmation test returns a Negative result.  If this is unchecked, the Remediation Protocol will be closed if the Presumptive Positive result is overturned.
  • Notified users:  Choose users in this list to receive a notification e-mail when a remediation protocol step has been completed
